Q: Why does my product look/smell slightly different from last time?

Because every product is handcrafted in small batches using herbs harvested throughout the seasons, you may notice natural variations in color, texture, or scent from batch to batch. This is the beauty of working with living plants - each harvest reflects the unique growing conditions of that season. Rest assured, every batch maintains the same nourishing potency and careful formulation you expect from Wild Clover Farm.

Q: Are all your products always available?

As a small farm working with seasonal harvests, product availability varies throughout the year. Some herbs are only harvestable during specific growing seasons, and I prioritize using freshly harvested botanicals for maximum potency. Additionally, while I source organic ingredients whenever possible, supply chain realities occasionally mean certain organic materials are temporarily unavailable. I never compromise on quality - if I can't source an ingredient that meets my standards, I'd rather wait than substitute. Check product pages for current availability, and feel free to reach out if you're looking for something specific.

Q: What if the item I want is out of stock?

If you select 'Notify me when available' or place a backorder, I'll prioritize making your product in my next batch. Depending on ingredient availability and current production schedule, this typically takes 2-3 business days for restocking. For seasonal items that require fresh harvest, the wait may be longer. I'll always communicate expected timelines when you place your order.

Q: What does "small batch" really mean?

Small batch means I personally oversee every step - from growing or sourcing ingredients, to infusing oils, to hand-pouring each jar. I intentionally keep production quantities limited so I can ensure quality control and give each product the attention it deserves. You'll never receive something that was made months ago and sitting on a shelf - your skincare is crafted fresh, often within days or weeks of your order.

Q: What ingredients do you use?

Every product page lists complete ingredients. I use organic ingredients whenever available and prioritize high-quality, sustainably sourced materials. My formulations feature herbs I grow on the farm (like calendula, chamomile, lavender, comfrey, and plantain) along with premium carrier oils, butters, and natural additives. No synthetic fragrances, dyes, parabens, phthalates, or artificial preservatives - ever.

Q: Are your products vegan?

Most Wild Clover Farm products are vegan. Products containing beeswax or honey are clearly labeled. If you're looking for vegan options, check product descriptions or contact me for guidance.

Q: Do you test on animals?

Absolutely not. Wild Clover Farm products are never tested on animals. The only testing happens on willing humans - usually me, my family, and friends!

Using Herbal Skincare

Q: I'm new to herbal skincare. What should I expect?

Herbal skincare works differently than synthetic products. You won't find artificial fragrances, preservatives, or chemical exfoliants here. Instead, you'll experience the gentle, nourishing power of plant-based ingredients that have been used for centuries. Results may be more gradual but also more sustainable for your skin's long-term health. Many customers notice their skin feels more balanced, less reactive, and genuinely nourished rather than just temporarily 'treated.' Start with one or two products and give your skin 2-4 weeks to adjust.

  

Q: How should I store my products?

Because Wild Clover Farm products contain no synthetic preservatives, proper storage extends their freshness and effectiveness. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat. Balms and salves are shelf-stable for 6-12 months. Serums and products with higher water content should be used within 3-6 months. Always use clean, dry hands or a small spatula when dipping into jars to prevent contamination. If you notice any changes in smell or appearance, discontinue use.

  

Q: Why don't you use preservatives?

I formulate products to be naturally shelf-stable without synthetic preservatives. This means using anhydrous (water-free) formulations for balms and salves, or carefully balanced oil-based serums with natural vitamin E. The trade-off is a shorter shelf life than mass-produced skincare, but the benefit is pure botanical ingredients without chemical additives. This is skincare you can feel good about putting on your face.

  

Q: Are your products safe for sensitive skin?

All Wild Clover Farm products are formulated with gentle, plant-based ingredients and contain no synthetic fragrances, dyes, or harsh chemicals. However, even natural ingredients can cause reactions in sensitive individuals. I always recommend doing a patch test before full use - apply a small amount to your inner forearm and wait 24 hours to check for any reaction. If you have known allergies to specific plants or oils, please review the ingredient list carefully before purchasing. Contact me if you have questions about specific sensitivities.

  

Q: Can I use your products if I'm pregnant or nursing?

Most of my products are safe for use during pregnancy and nursing, but I always recommend consulting with your healthcare provider before introducing new skincare products during this time. Some essential oils and herbs have traditional cautions during pregnancy. If you're pregnant or nursing and have specific questions about a product, please reach out and I'm happy to discuss the ingredients with you.

Q: Are these statements evaluated by the FDA?

No. These products and statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. Wild Clover Farm products are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. All herbal information provided is for educational purposes only and is not a substitute for medical care. Please consult a qualified healthcare provider before using herbal products, especially if you are pregnant, nursing, taking medications, or managing a health condition.

Ordering & Shipping

Q: Do you offer samples?

I occasionally offer sample sizes of select products. Check the website for current sample availability or contact me about trying a product before committing to a full size. Because everything is made fresh in small batches, sample availability varies.

  

Q: How long will my order take to ship?

Most in-stock orders ship within 2-3 business days. If your order includes a made-to-order or backordered item, I'll communicate the expected timeframe. During peak harvest season or high-volume periods, processing times may be slightly longer. You'll receive tracking information once your order ships.

  

Q: Do you ship internationally?

Currently, I ship within the United States only. If you're interested in international shipping, please contact me directly and I'll see what's possible.

  

Q: Can I cancel my order?

Orders can be cancelled within 2 hours of placement if they haven't yet entered production. After that window, because products are often made fresh to order, cancellation isn't guaranteed. Contact me immediately at lisa@wildcloverfarm.com if you need to cancel, and I'll do my best to accommodate.

Return & Refund Policy

Our Commitment to Quality

Every Wild Clover Farm product is handcrafted with care using the highest quality ingredients I can source or grow. I personally test every batch before it's offered to you. Your satisfaction matters deeply to me.

  

Understanding Handmade Personal Care Products

Due to the personal nature of skincare and body care products, and the fact that each item is handcrafted in small batches, most sales are final. I cannot accept returns or offer refunds for:

  • Change of mind
  • Scent preference (natural essential oils smell different than synthetic fragrances)
  • Skin sensitivity or reactions (even natural ingredients can cause reactions in      sensitive individuals)
  • Product "not working" as expected (herbal skincare works gradually and  differently for everyone)

  

When Returns/Replacements AreAccepted

I stand behind the quality of my products. If you receive an item that is:

  • Damaged in transit
  • Defective or has a quality issue
  • Incorrect item sent

Please contact me within 7 days of delivery at lisa@wildcloverfarm.com with:

  • Your order number
  • Photos of the product and packaging
  • Description of the issue

  

Our Resolution Process

Once I've reviewed your concern, I will offer one of the following:

  1. Full replacement of the product (my preferred option - I want you to have what      you ordered!)
  2. Refund to your original payment method
  3. Store credit for future purchase

For quality issues: I may ask you to return the product so I can evaluate it and ensure my production standards are maintained. I'll provide a prepaid return label in these cases.


Return Shipping

  • If the issue is my error (damaged, defective, wrong item): I cover all return      shipping costs
  • For all other returns (if approved on a case-by-case basis): Customer is responsible for return shipping

Processing Timeline

  • Replacements: Shipped within 2-3 business days of receiving the returned item (or      immediately if return isn't required)
  • Refunds: Processed within 5-7 business days and returned to your original payment method

Important Notes

  • Products must be returned in original condition with at least 90% remaining
  • Refunds do not include original shipping costs
  • Custom or special-order products cannot be returned unless defective
  • I reserve the right to refuse returns on opened products unless there is a verified quality issue
